FosterCareMaps.org arose from the feedback and real stories we received from foster/ adoptive parents and agencies/ counties and the difficulties they have of connecting effectively with one another and the lack of a positive experience.
Problem:
- Foster/ adoptive parents state the difficulties of finding the right agency to fit their needs and have their questions answered with satisfaction.
- Problem: Agencies/ Counties have difficulty recruiting qualified foster parents to meet the needs of children they serve.
- Vulnerable children need loving homes. There are 500,000 + children nationwide in foster care and only 100,000 + foster homes!
Solution:
- For potential foster/ adoptive parents, FosterCareMaps.org provides a user friendly interface using a Google Maps platform to search and discover agencies that fits the need of the potential parent.
